Sallie Hinks

Writing that makes compliance actionable

Data protection documentation that nobody reads is not compliant documentation. The ICO’s transparency principle requires that information given to individuals is intelligible, accessible and written in plain language.

Sallie brings professional copywriting expertise to PMA’s documentation. She works closely with Simon to translate regulatory requirements into language that works for the audience. A combination of regulatory rigour and clarity that ensures our documentation satisfies the ICO’s own readability expectations.

She is an experienced content writer who produces clear, engaging copy across a wide range of formats. From privacy notices and staff policies to training materials, website content and client communications. She has worked with businesses, charities and start-ups, adapting the tone and complexity to match the audience.

How PMA differentiate their data protection support

Hands-on, not just advisory

We work alongside your organisation, not in isolation. Compliance that is designed, then delivered, and not just advised on. We attend meetings, review contracts, respond to DSARs, and produce documentation.

Sector-specific knowledge

We don’t apply generic GDPR templates. Each sector will have its own regulatory nuances, and we bring sector-specific experience to every customer.

Proportionate and practical

Any compliance advice should be proportionate to risk. If a targeted gap analysis is needed, we wouldn’t recommend a full compliance programme. We give honest, proportionate advice.

The plain English difference

It’s very common for businesses to have documentation that satisfies a legal standard but is very hard to read. We produce documents that meet regulatory standards and are easy for people to read, understand, and follow.
